Suzie Majikol-Maier was born in Sabah, Borneo Malaysia. She graduated from the School of Art & Design, UiTM Shah Alam, Malaysia in 1985. As an artist who responds to color, her work portray distinct impressionistic influence. Over the years she have painted a variety of subjects in oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel, but people and animals remain her favorite subjects. Her desire to see new places and work in a more progressive artistic environment has brought her to the United States in 2006. Taking painting trips with her husband (also a painter) to the Arizona deserts and Alaskan Glaciers have provided her with new subject to paint. Native Americans, southwestern landscapes and wildlife now dominate her work. A recipient of several awards for artistic achievement, Majikol-Maier's work appear in private collections in Malaysia, Singapore, United Kingdom, Japan and USA. She is also one of the founding members of Gallery 4463 in Acworth, Georgia.
